The Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) is a State Authority created under an Act of Parliament No. 35 of 2011 which provides for civilian oversight of work of the police. IPOA has various vacancies and would like to inform interested members of the public to apply: Complaints Management and Legal Services Department Head of Complaints Grade 3 Ref: IPOA 22/08/13 Reporting to the Deputy Director Complaints and Legal Services, the jobholder is responsible for the Authority’s Complaints Management Unit, intake of all complaints and notifications. The jobholder is also responsible for: Developing and managing the Authority’s complaints management database; Supervising mediation and alternative dispute resolutions; Participating in reviews and the formulation of complaint policies and practices; Leading discussions on complaints management and development processes, Organising and maintaining data used to develop policy recommendations and reports and act as the Authority’s central reference resource on the same
