Location: Nairobi Description: Accountant at Kenya Film Classification Board ( KFCB ) in Nairobi – Kenya Jobs, Careers and Vacancies The Kenya Film Classification Board ( KFCB ) is a State Corporation established under the Film and Stage Plays Act Cap 222 Laws of Kenya with a regulatory function to ensure that films screened to the public are in line with the national aspirations and culture. The Board invites applications from suitable and qualified persons to fill the following positions: ACCOUNTANT Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: Preparation and verification of vouchers in accordance with the laid down rules and regulations involving primary data entry; Routine accounting work such as balancing of cash books, imprests and advances ledgers etc; He/she will be responsible for safe custody of records and assets under him/her Qualification requirements: For appointment to this position, the applicant must; Have a Bachelors degree in Commerce (Accounting or Finance option) Business Administration (Accounting option) from a recognized institution or any other equivalent qualification; Have a pass in Part I of the Certified Public Accountants ( CPA ) Examination or its approved equivalent; and Be proficient in any of the automated accounting Computer packages.
