Capwell Industries Head of Sales and Distribution Job in Kenya

Capwelll Industries Ltd, a leading food processing industry with the flagship brand of Pearl rice, CIL Rice, Ranee Basmati/ premium rice and SOKO sifted maize flour and Pearl Pulses among many other brands seeks to recruit, a self-motivated, energetic and qualified Head of Sales and Distribution.
Reporting to the Director-Sales, you will be in charge of overall sales and distribution function of Capwell industries ensuring sustained revenue growth of company products through effective management of local sales force and distribution systems. You will also develop plans and strategies with regard to sales targets, new business opportunities, and the maintenance of customer satisfaction.
Key ResponsibilitiesYour key responsibilities will include:Managing company sales staff and coordinating the overall sales functions of the organizationSetting up of the sales targets for company sales staff and evaluating their performance through well-defined Key Performance IndicatorsAnalyze effectiveness of company distribution systems and recommending to management on best systems that enhance better coverage and presence of company productsDraw up and implement a detailed direct and systematic area coverage plan consisting of a number of towns, channel partners, hubs and field forcePeriodically appraise the level of business through the distributors/wholesalers and retailers and recommending to management the strategies and support required to each with the aim of improving sales volumesMonitor, analyze, evaluate and advice on competitor activities, giving recommendations so as to sustain market of Capwell productsForecasting monthly and periodic sales targets and facilitating the achievement of the samePlay a lead role in the formulation of the sales and marketing strategies guiding and communicating company policies, guidelines and regulations to the sales regionsDevelop and implement customer satisfaction and retention strategiesManaging all accounts and ensuring delay in payments are minimized as well as evaluating credit worthiness of all customersAdvising the management on opening new customer accounts based on the assessment and evaluation of their credit worthinessBusiness degree in sales and marketingProfessional training in Sales and/or membership of a professional bodyAt least 5 proven successful years in Sales & Distribution in an FMCG Environment or comparable industryCustomer focusedPeople management skills including target setting and performance monitoringProven ability to develop and maintain effective work relationships with distributers and other external strategic partnersSend your application including a cover letter indicating your desire to work with our client a detailed CV highlighting relevant experience, details of current and expected salary, a daytime phone contact, email address, and the names of three professional referees by close of business Wednesday 5th June 2013Adept SystemsManagement ConsultantsP O Box 6416, Email: recruit@adeptsystems.co.keOnly short listed candidates will be contacted. Please note that we do not charge fees for receiving or processing job applications.
