WRAP Business Development Manager Job in Kenya

Vacancy: Business Development Manager   Women's Rights Awareness Programme WRAP is a national, non-governmental NGO, non-profit, human rights organization with the core mandate of GBV Prevention & Response.  WRAP runs a Shelter Home for abused and violated women and children and offers other GBV-related supportive services like Legal Aid/Advice, Medical Care, Trauma Counseling, Marital Counseling, Mediation, Reconciliation, Resettlement, Re-Integration and Social & Economic Empowerment for GBV Survivors and women vulnerable to GBV in the community.  WRAP also partners with the Community in establishing sustainable Women-Led Community-Centred GBV Prevention & Intervention approaches. WRAP has various departments including Social Support Counseling, Social Work and Community Outreach Client Welfare & Shelter Home which also enables clients to access medical services, Legal, for abused women and abused children, and Women’s Economic Empowerment Departments, which was started after WRAP established that the issue of poverty needs to be factored into GBV-programming, since poverty is one of the factors that lead to domestic violence/GBV.   WRAP is looking for an innovative, suitably qualified, and intrinsically motivated Business Development Manager preferably female, to help identify businesses that can thrive under the Economic Empowerment Department, and develop Business Plan to guide income generation with the objectives of empowering WRAP’s clients and vulnerable women; besides contributing towards financial sustainability of WRAP and the Women-Led Community-Centred GBV Watch Groups developed in various neighbourhoods.  Since its inception over 20 years ago, WRAP responds to the needs of vulnerable and traumatized children and women guided by certain Core Values
